Sussex riders shone in the Southern Counties time trial.
Southwater-based Keith Reed, riding this season for the Epsom club, won the main 25-mile event at Loxwood in 59min.10sec.
Storrington rider Mark Jones (GS Stella) was second (59min.47sec). London star Tim Stevens (34 Nomads) was fastest at halfway but failed to maintain a hot pace and finished third (1hr.0min.4sec).
Stephen Emmerson (Epsom) was fourth (1hr.0min.7sec) and Sussex pair Mike Coyle (VC Etoile) and Steve Geran (GS Stella) tied for fifth place in (1hr.1min.33sec). GS Stella's third man, Steve Woodbridge, clocked 1hr.5min.27sec to secure Stella's team win. Stella's Niki Treacy won the women's event (1hr.11min.42sec).
The previous day, Essex rider Jason White (JD Cycles) continued his successful comeback by following up his recent third place in the classic Jock Wadley Memorial road race and clocking the day's fasted time (22min.40sec) in the ten-mile time trial. Coyle was second (23min.21sec) and Ben Instone (A3) third (23min.22sec). Stevens, holder of the course record (22min19sec), finished fourth in 23min.26sec.
GS Stella were team winners with Geran clocking 24min.8sec, Jones 25min.15sec and Woodbridge 25min.36sec. Treacy won the women's event (27min.47sec).
