I grew up in Brighton and feel sad seven Anglican churches, including St Peter's, are slated for closure.
Such closures are being found necessary as church attendance declines due to the changing patterns of society in the use of Sunday.
However, in some religious sects, numbers have increased.
Young people think the church is old-fashioned and its services are not meaningful.
Churches grow where there is community involvement, worship is meaningful and preaching is related to present day problems.
