Manager Jack Pearce fears Bognor's chances of making the Conference South may be slipping away.
The Rocks's 1-0 defeat at home to Bishop's Stortford made it five games without a win in the premier division.
Glen Southam scored the winner from a 37th-minute penalty after Victor Renner had been brought down by Kevin Murphy.
Defeat leaves Bognor in tenth place and 11 points above the cut-off zone for the new division.
Pearce said: "One point out of a possible 15 is relegation form, not promotion form and if we're not careful then we could be sucked right down.
"We are far from safe and the way we are playing suggests things could get even worse. All we can do is battle on and hope things turn around, otherwise we could be in trouble."
