Hastings star Peter Tadros overcame the puncture bug which has plagued the start of his season to gain a place on the podium in two events.
The In Gear rider clocked 21min.36sec to beat Reg Smith (Chevin Cycles) by 41 seconds and win the Invicta ten-mile time trial in Kent.
Next day, Tadros finished second in the Redmon 25-mile time trial, held over the forthcoming national championship course around Horsham.
It was won by last year's winner Paul Mill (Team Edwardes) in 55min.21sec. Tadros was 24 seconds slower while clubmate Dave Pollard placed fifth in 59min. 24sec.
VC Etoile pair Mike Coyle and Roger Smith made up for their recent disappointment, when they punctured in the Sussex CA two-up event, by winning the East Sussex CA two-up.
They stormed round the 23-mile course in 54min.59sec but only had nine seconds in hand over In Gear pair James Louter and Chris Yates.
Crawley CC's Paul Jones and Paul Byford were third (56min.54sec) and Steve Frame and Alan Rolfe (Team Kontour) placed fourth (57min.1sec).
Helen Carter (Eastbourne Rovers) finished third in the opening round of the women's Rudy Project national time trial series in Cambridgeshire. George Higgs (Brighton Excelsior) finished fifth in a 50-mile circuit race at Goodwood.
