The two letters concerning the Albion at Falmer (April 15) represented rather well the quality of the arguments on either side.
On the one hand, Mr Hunt's letter set out a lucid and thorough explanation of the real difficulties associated with building a ground at Sheepcote Valley.
On the other, Mr Coomber's rambling, illogical and inaccurate stream of consciousness (Mr Prescott is not making a "commercial" decision) somehow managed to suggest that support by local MPs of the Falmer site compromised their ability to promote spending for local hospitals.
Of all the desperate arguments we have seen against the Falmer stadium, that one surely has to be the daftest.
