Manager Francis Vines saw Crawley complete a glorious double last night and then insisted: "We can get better."
Reds beat Moor Green 2-0 in the second leg of the Dr Martens Cup final at the Broadfield Stadium to win 4-1 on aggregate.
Goals from Danny Marney and substitute Charlie MacDonald ensured Reds retained the trophy they won for the first time last season.
Victory comes just a week after Crawley clinched the premier division title and a place in the Conference next season.
But Vines, who has only been in charge for 15 months, believes there is more to come from his team.
He said: "This side will get better. The players are still very young, so the best years are still in front of them.
"I have said there will not be any wholesale changes to the side because we would just go backwards if that happened.
"The players here have proved they will be able to cope but if they don't then they also know there will be better players ready to come in and replace them."
Despite victory, Vines was still disappointed with the performance.
Reds were far from convincing but the home supporters did not care as they spilled on the pitch to celebrate after the game.
Vines said: "Although we won I still care about the way we play. I want to be entertained.
"A few of the players are beginning to feel the effects of winning the title and we will probably suffer from that in the last few games.
"But hopefully it won't be too much of a problem because I want to finish this season on a high and with as many points as possible."
The team sheet before kick-off illustrated how much rebuilding Vines has done during his short time in charge.
Of the team which won the competition last season, only goalkeeper Andy Little started this time.
It is a tribute to the strength of the squad Vines has gathered that he had the luxury of fielding a number of players who have only played a bit-part in the league, although to call the team a weakened side would have been misleading.
Allan Tait, Robert Kember and Karl Ready, who would walk into any other premier division team, replaced top scorer MacDonald, Paul Armstrong and hamstring injury victim Marc Pullan.
Tait and strike partner Marney scored the goals in the first leg and were the dangermen again early on against a Moor Green side languishing in 12th place in the premier division.
Both were left unmarked at the back post from a cross by Robert Traynor on 15 minutes but neither could get a touch on the ball.
It was winger Justin Gregory who should have given Crawley a half-time lead.
He fired a left-foot shot just past the far post from the angle of the penalty area after 30 minutes and went close again a minute later when he failed to get a clean connection on a close range header from a cross by Tait.
Tait was stretchered off with a head injury soon after following a collision with visiting keeper Matt Harris.
His replacemen, Joff Vansittart, had the chance to make an immediate impact when he was sent clear on goal three minutes before the break but Harris turned the ball wide.
Despite the chances in the first half, Reds had not looked convincing and it was only when Marney struck on 53 minutes that they began to look like champions.
A deep cross by Traynor was bundled across the box by Gregory at the back post and Marney slammed a shot into the top corner from the edge of the area.
With Moor Green rarely threatening, there was a party atmosphere for the final half an hour of the game.
It reached fever pitch when MacDonald, on as a substitute for Gregory, rounded off victory two minutes from time. Vansittart's shot from a Traynor cross was parried by Harris and MacDonald was on hand to blast home his 23rd goal of the season.
The celebrations will continue on Monday when the title shield is presented to the team before the final home match of the season against Newport County.
