History is repeating itself. In the Sixties blocks of flats were erected which have subsequently been pulled down, as they turned into ghettos for nasty inhabitants or landlords who lacked scruples and let the flats out for monetary gain.
Converted small flats, only suitable for one or two people, are horrendous to live in when crammed with noisy families and usually rented.
It has become apparent that all these people who require a place to live in Brighton or Hove own a car.
As I cannot afford to buy or run a car, perhaps this could be the answer to "affordable housing" - live in the car.
