D Harris has my sympathy (Letters, April 19). Struggling to make ends meet on the minimum wage - or a minimum pension which is even less - is no joke.
Even the Government admits it's not enough to live on and tries to help out with family credits.
But let's be clear. Keeping the wage so low that finding a house to buy or rent is almost impossible is also Government policy - part of its decision to cosy up to big business.
