Mark McGhee today emphasised the importance of the squad players in Albion's quest for play-off success.
The Seagulls are guaranteed a place in the top six following a 1-0 win against Notts County on Saturday.
They have at least three games remaining, starting with their closing League fixture at Wrexham on Saturday followed by a two-legged play-off semi-final.
McGhee watched the reserves win the Sussex Senior Cup yesterday after a 2-0 win against Worthing at Eastbourne.
Nine of the starting line-up have featured in the first team this season and McGhee says they will be needed again.
He said: "We have possibly four games to go and I would think that over those games we are not going to need 11 players, we are probably going to need 17 or 18. So to have the boys fit and playing well is important for me."
Albion won the Senior Cup for only the sixth time in their history thanks to a first-half penalty by John Piercy and a goal from captain Dean Hammond 17 minutes from time.
McGhee praised reserve team manager Dean White and the attitudes of the fringe players.
He said: "He (White) has been excellent and the boys have played well for him all season.
"At times there have been boys that would have been disappointed because they were not in the first team, but they have still gone out and performed so I'm well pleased with their attitudes."
White said: "Some of the lads will be playing on Saturday so it was a case of using the final to get them fit but they approached it in the right manner and we got the result I think we deserved."
