To avoid a misunderstanding and, on my part, a misrepresentation, allow me to refer to your news story about ten countries joining the EU (The Argus, April 29).
The story referred to me as "Egon Ronay the chef". I wish to make it crystal clear that I am not a professional chef and have never pretended to be one, even though I was a restaurateur for 25 years before starting my guides.
