It is time we finally said farewell to the weekly car rallies that descend on Brighton and Hove during the summer months.
The city council has done its best to make it impossible for vehicles to go from A to B. So it is complete madness to invite thousands and thousands of minis, motorbikes, vintage cars, camper vans and so on every Sunday throughout the summer.
Last Sunday we were plagued by hordes of minis which no doubt are driven by reasonable people but the City can't cope with them.
The traffic was half way up to Gatwick coming into Brighton. Grand Parade, Wilson Avenue, Marine Parade and Rottingdean were all blocked even before the tragic accident on the A23.
It's clearly time for the council and the residents of our City to say thanks for the memory, but please give us a break.
