For the first time in my 36 years I am ashamed to say I am English - not British, not European, but English.
Our soldiers in Iraq are doing an outstanding job against all odds and the most amazing pressure.
War is strange. A few months ago these guys were the best thing since sliced bread. Now some are being painted as monsters because of accidents which in war can't be avoided.
They risk their lives because their country, people and Government ask them to and when it all goes wrong we turn our backs on them. How sad.
To hell with the Government. It's because of the lies it has told that our guys were sent to face death. Yet the Press seems hell bent on giving this more coverage. Give our guys a break and bring them home.
If they're not there, they can't be accused of doing anything wrong.
