A Jehova's Witness was brutally raped by a man she met at a service, a jury heard.
The woman in her 20s was allegedly attacked by Katshi Luputa, whom she had met six months earlier.
She was waiting at a bus stop when he pulled up in his car and offered her a lift home. She accepted because she recognised him from church.
But instead of taking her home Luputa drove to a flat in Beaconsfield Road, Brighton, threw her on the floor, stripped and raped her.
Luputa, 30, of Glyndebourne Avenue, Saltdean, denied raping and indecently assaulting the woman on December 1 last year on the first day of his trial at Lewes Crown Court yesterday.
The woman struggled to remain composed as she told a jury by video link she felt stupid and humiliated.
She said she did not know the man's name when he offered to give her a lift to save her waiting on a cold winters evening.
During the car journey he said they were passing his home and suggested she meet some of his friends and relatives.
She was hesitant and once she reached she door she could tell it was dark and there was no one inside.
Then he pushed her in and raped her.
She said: "I was telling him I was scared and I wanted to go home but he would not let me go.
"I said I would scream but he said no one would come and he was threatening to slap me."
She struggled because she was frightened of catching an infection or getting pregnant.
After the attack, he offered to give her a lift home.
She accepted because she was confused and did not know where she was.
She said: "I was crying on my way home. I felt stupid and humiliated because I trusted him and I never thought he would do that to me."
Afterwards he told her: "Don't tell my wife."
The trial continues.
