How great is modern telephone technology. Gone is the old fashioned way of answering a call within three rings and actually hearing and speaking to a human voice.

Isn't it wonderful what you get to do when you are on the telephone these days? Now you can have the pleasure of being on the telephone for hours, you get to pass the time away by pressing lot of different buttons and, oh, the joy of hearing all the different voices with their varying accents.

If you are lucky you may even get to go all the way to India. Sometimes they say, "I'll ring you back" and the excitement while you wait for hours in anticipation of that call.

And think of all that hard-earned money you get to spend on some of these calls. Very often, you get cut off and you have all the fun of going through the same process all over again. Isn't that progress for you?
