A Brighton hair salon has been nominated for a top award.
Mooch, in Gloucester Road, has made it through to the last five in the Independent Salon of the Year category of the British Hairdressing Business Awards.
Owner Gary Thomas, 30, opened the salon a year ago and is delighted to be shortlisted.
He said: "We're all over the moon. I've got to say a big thank you to the whole team."
The national competition was launched in 1999. This year more than 250 salons entered the category.
Mr Thomas said: "It is great for a Brighton company to be up there with all the big names in the industry."
The awards ceremony will take place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on September 13.
