Police will be taking no action over the case of a four-year-old girl who burnt to death.
Courtney Ord died after her nightclothes caught fire as she played with a lighter at her home in Butts Road, Southwick.
She was in her brother's bedroom at the time.
Grant, 13, woke and beat out the flames with a pillow.
Her mother Mandy, 35, placed her in a cold bath until paramedics arrived.
Courtney died at St George's Hospital in London last month.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "We have investigated the incident and no further action will be taken. This was a tragic accident."
An inquest will be held.
Mrs Ord said: "I want to know everything and maybe the lesson will prevent this happening to someone else."
