The development of 600 flats on the King Alfred site must go ahead but they should be for residents, not second homes for incomers.
Twenty times that number is required for the people of Brighton so the council can reduce its waiting list.
Those that oppose such developments are being selfish because, unless this country gets more than two million new homes, the future holds serious problems for us all.
