Eastbourne Town striker Yemi Odubade has signed a one-year contract with Yeovil Town.

Odubade, 20, who scored 33 goals for Sussex County League division one outfit Town last season, joined Gary Johnson's Glovers today after a successful trial period with the League Two club.

Yeovil manager Johnson had the powerful striker recommended to him by his brother Steve, who manages County League side Arundel.

Gary Johnson said: "He has a professional contract now and this is a great opportunity for him.

"He is not a ready-made pro right now but he has shown us he has the raw talent we can work with and he is very much part of my first-team group of players.

"He is a great lad and a credit to Dave Winterton (Eastbourne Town manager) and my brother Steve, who spotted his talent.

"He has pace and power but we need to bring up his fitness to our standard.

"He is obviously very pleased and has jumped at the chance. We are giving him the opportunity and it is up to him now to make the most of it.

"We don't just take anyone, they have to fit in with us and he has shown he has the right mentality for Yeovil."

Odubade said: "Gary told me he wanted me for a year yesterday and I was delighted. To sign professional forms is a dream come true."

Crawley Town duo Nigel Brake and Ian Payne will play for Worthing in tomorrow's friendly away to East Preston.

Another Crawley player, Peter Fear, is expected to make his second appearance for the Rebels.
