A football fan thrown out of Portugal for rioting during this summer's European Championships must return to court in November.
Andrew Williams, 22, of Ravenswood Road, Burgess Hill, was arrested when trouble broke out between supporters and riot police in Albufeira.
After being deported, he was ordered to appear before Uxbridge magistrates yesterday to face an order banning him from all football grounds.
However, he and six more of the ten defendants were excused attendance as their case was adjourned for a pre-trial review in four months' time.
Fresh papers, now making their bail unconditional, were served in the waiting room at the court in west London.
Three of the accused appeared in person to receive their renewed bail papers, while the others were represented by solicitors.
After returning home from Portugal on June 17, Mr Williams insisted he was merely an innocent bystander.
He claimed he had not been given a fair hearing when convicted by a Portuguese judge of taking part in the violence and being handed a seven-month prison sentence, suspended for three years.
The convicted men were deported.
