I have played a good standard of amateur football, helped run youth teams and supported the Albion for 30 years.
Surely anybody with a reasonable knowledge of football will realise the squad we have at present are certainties to be relegated.
The last time we were promoted to Division One, a certain Junior Lewis made a massive contribution (never replaced). Bobby Zamora oozed class - it was worth £20 to watch him turn a game with magical moments.
Instead of adding players of Division One standard to the squad, we carried on, hoping to survive - but to no avail.
Now, here we go again, losing Chris Iwelumo, replaced by Maheta Molango. Surely all supporters expect us to just survive in this division. So are we asking too much to add two or three players of Division One standard?
Surely from the sale of Zamora and the profits from the play-offs, Mark McGhee should be allowed some money to spend.
Let me wish the best of luck to the management and players. I will be the first to congratulate them - especially Mr McGhee - if we survive.
