I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Brighton Amnesty International group for taking part in Pride.
It was wonderful to see the human rights campaign group walking in the parade and they certainly got a lot of support from the audience.
I visited their stall on the park and was pleased to see more than 250 people had signed the Jamaican gay rights petition. They also managed to raise a lot of money for their Stop Violence Against Women campaign.
It was great to see so many people caring about the rights of fellow men and women in this way. It really goes to show what a thoughtful and progressive place Brighton and Hove is.
