Leon Knight today predicted Albion can pull off the biggest upset of the season so far, by getting a result at Wigan.
The rock-bottom Seagulls are a whopping 13-2 to turn the table upside down and claim their first victory in the Coca-Cola Championship against Paul Jewell's early pacesetters.
Knight, making his first appearance of the campaign, is optimistic Albion can defy the odds at the JJB Stadium tomorrow.
Last season's top scorer, back from a three-match ban, said: "I just cannot wait for three o'clock on Saturday afternoon.
"It's been pretty bad watching, especially when you see your team losing and you know you could get out there and do a bit for them.
"We have got to go to Wigan with the same mentality as we had in the play-off final against Bristol City, then I am sure we will be all right.
"You cannot read anything into them being top at this stage. They've got two good strikers in Nathan Ellington and Jason Roberts and the rest of their side is solid, but we are in this league to play these teams.
"Anyone can beat anyone in this league. If we can get the ball to our front men, press them and not give them too much time to get wide and get crosses in to the two up front then I think we should be able to at least get a draw and hopefully a win."
Manager Mark McGhee is glad to have Knight back after watching Wigan's impressive 3-1 victory at West Ham last Sunday.
"It is by far the most difficult game we will have played since I've been here, streets ahead of anything we have played so far either in this division or last year, McGhee said.
"I am still convinced if Leon had played in the first half against Coventry last Saturday we would have been ahead by half time.
"There's no doubt Leon will improve us, but we are not suddenly going to surge to the top of the division because he is playing."
