In reply to Graham Taylor (Letters, August 14) in which he asks if he would be shown equal rights with those who marched in the Pride parade if he should he walk along London Road wearing a black leather thong and a smile, I fear the answer may be "No".
Similarly, should a gay man walk along the streets of Brighton dressed that way outside of the Pride parade he would quite possibly be asked to cover up.
People forget this is a celebration and a carnival and, as such, elaborate and sometimes outrageous costumes are part of the fun.
I have three words to say to the likes of Graham Taylor, Kirsty Finnemore and others who moan and whinge about Pride. Get a life.
