As a seagull of the flying variety, I congratulate the council, designer and developer on the new sculptures in Connaught Road, Hove.
I note one is called "Sediment" and plan to drop my own christening very soon.
I must confess that, having spent most of my life along the seafront, I am now finding it increasingly difficult, with the many new high rise buildings being erected, to decide if I prefer town or sea view living.
An initial examination of the new Connaught Street sculptures suggest these may, at least in the short term, be ideal for my bed and breakfast accomodation. Perhaps the designer had this in mind.
To help my search for permanency I avidly read copies of The Argus easily removed from one of the many plastic bags in the streets and visit each new development reported. The flying time involved is becoming considerable.
My children are still young but I have shown them photographs of the towers at the King Alfred development and they are already excited so I imagine they will select a sea view for their home.
May I say to the council I support your enthusiasm for high rise living. We seagulls love it.
