I was very interested to read the history of Brighton police force (The Argus, August 14), particularly the fact that they were the first in the world to have personal radios.
I remember being told many years ago by someone who had seen one of these radios that it consisted of a large back pack and an aerial attached to the policeman's helmet .
Does any reader have any further information or possibly a photograph?
If so I should be very grateful.
