Sussex rail and bus operator Go-Ahead is investing £20 million to revive its aviation division, Aviance UK.
Go-Ahead, which operates Southern rail services, Thameslink and buses in Brighton and Hove, is to buy a 50 per cent share in cargo handling business Plane Handling from Virgin Aviation.
The downturn in international air travel has taken its toll on Aviance, which provides ground handling and other airport services.
