Lewes boss Steven King believes his Rooks side are capable of a top six finish this season.

Consolidation was the key word before the season started after the Rooks jumped two divisions last season.

But King now feels his side can be a force to be reckoned with.

After six games Lewes are tenth with three wins and a draw but they have already beaten Sussex rivals Bognor, who are third in the table.

King said: "I have been looking at this league really closely. I have seen 18 of the teams in action and a top six place is there for the taking.

"I can see it for myself and I know we are capable of getting it."

Goalkeeper Scott Ward makes his Lewes debut in Saturdays home game with Weston-super-Mare as regular stopper Ade Bankole begins a three-match suspension.

Ward started his career at Luton, making one League appearance against Brentford when he saved a penalty, and he joins the Rooks from Margate.

A fit-again Jay Lovett returns to the squad tomorrow but Francis Duku (hamstring) and Paul Kennett (back) are still missing.

King is likely to continue with Barrington Belgrave and Warren Haughton in attack after both scored against St Albans on Monday, meaning no place again for Marc Whiteman, Luke Cornwall and Lee Newman.
