Lewes chalked up a fourth successive win and moved ahead of rivals Bognor into fourth place in the table after an amazing 7-3 success against Margate.
The visitors went in front half way through the first half when Che Stadheart finished well, but eight minutes later Gate's defender Peter Benevides punched a Dwain Clarke corner off the line, and the inevitable red card was followed by a successful Junior Kadi penalty.
Stadheart's second made it 2-1 on 34 minutes, but goals from Barrington Belgrave and Kirk Watts meant that the Rooks lead by the break.
In the second half, Belgrave completed his hat-trick and goals from Luke Cornwall and Barrymore completed the rout.
Rocky Baptiste netted a consolation for the visitors, who also hit the post and saw a header cleared off the line by Kadi in a thrilling encounter.
