Was it lack of space or poor spelling that led the Countryside Alliance to burn the slogan "No Ban" into grass by the Long Man of Wilmington and at 13 other locatiions?
The hunting fraternity use some ludicrous arguments in defence of their barbaric pastime such as the claim that a ban infringes their human rights, a plea that could equally be advanced by child molesters, drug-pushers and witch-hunters. Their slogan would more logically have been "No Brain".
Incidentally, the grass fires will have killed thousands of helpless insects and possibly other creatures but presumably this is of little concern to those who slaughter wildlife for the sick thrill of it.
