We can assume TM Bailey (Letters, September 14) only ever cycles in cycle lanes and not on undesignated areas where it is life threatening to everybody and their dog.
He should remember that people have to cross cycle lanes to get kerbside to cross the road.
Walking was invented before cycling and more fines should be issued to cyclists who break the law.
This, of course, wouldn't affect Mr Bailey.
