More than £1.6 million has been spent on introducing new buses and improving the network in Brighton and Hove.
A fleet of ten new vehicles will operate along the A259 between Brighton, Newhaven, Seaford and Eastbourne from Sunday.
The frequency of buses between Brighton and Seaford is being doubled so that, counting Stagecoach services, there will be eight journeys each hour instead of four.
A special promotional £2 return fare will be available between Newhaven and Brighton.
Roger French, managing director of the Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company, said: "The coast road will have brand new buses, more buses than ever before and cheaper fares.
"We are looking forward to work starting on bus lanes for the A259 next year which will be another great boost for buses along the coast."
To meet requests from residents living in Goldstone Valley, buses on line 81 will be rerouted to use the full length of Woodland Avenue and King George VI Drive.
This will provide bus users with a regular service to the top of the hilly area for the first time.
In Mile Oak, three buses each hour on the popular number 1 bus route will run back towards Portslade, Hove and Brighton via Mile Oak Road instead of Valley Road, following requests from passengers.
There will be more frequent buses on the 5, 5A, 5B and 25 routes as part of a new policy by the bus company to increase the number of buses running during shopping hours on a Sunday.
