I'm so sad to hear about the proposed closure of the Undercliff walk at Brighton Marina.
English Nature objects to putting mesh along the cliff to help preserve its life but erosion is a natural occurrence during bad weather, namely frost, ice and driving southerly winds.
Where was English Nature when hundreds of thousands of tons were extracted from the cliffs to help start the piling for the Marina project years ago? I must say the red herring stunt is very fishy. It's a beautiful walk and must stay open.
