Pierre-Yves Gerbeau has been confirmed as the guest of honour at the Sussex Business Awards 2004 gala dinner.
The flamboyant Frenchman, who has taken control of Brighton Marina in a £65 million deal, will deliver a speech at the event.
ITN news presenter Nick Owen will host the awards ceremony.
The awards celebrate the best companies and organisations in Sussex.
Robin Fegan, manager of Sussex Business Awards, said: "We are thrilled to have won support from such top-notch speakers."
A panel of judges, headed by leading Sussex businessman Macolm Diamond, will choose the winners, who will be announced on the night.
The ceremony is at Copthorne Effingham Park in Gatwick on Thursday, November 18. A few tables are still available.
