"Sick", "perverse" and "in bad taste" are just some of the terms that have been used to describe Jimmy Carr's brazen brand of comedy.
Following a meteoric rise to fame, he has now become one of the biggest stars on British television, his infamous one-liners and distinctive style earning him a place among the entertainment elite.
His achievements include a Perrier nomination for his 2002 show Bare Faced Ambition, Best Stand-Up at the 2003 Time Out Awards and receiving the Best On Screen Newcomer prize from the Royal Television Society in 2003.
He is also one of the few British comics to have appeared at the world's top two comedy festivals, Montreal's Just For Laughs and Aspen's International Comedy Arts Festival.
Jimmy has a truly enviable list of TV appearances to his name. These include hosting Channel 4 game shows Distraction and Your Face Or Mine?, guest hosting Have I Got News For You?, being interviewed by Michael Parkinson and slots on QI, Countdown, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and the Bafta tribute to Bob Monkhouse.
He has written for shows including Bo Selecta! and Meet Ricky Gervais and acts such as Frank Skinner and Lily Savage, while his international profile has also recently expanded with three guest appearances on Jay Leno's Tonight Show and two on Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
Pushing back the boundaries of taste and decency with his ironically-named show Public Display Of Affection, you can expect to hear lines so abrasive they'll strip the paint off the auditorium walls.
Starts 8pm, Tickets £16/£14
