Of all the annual British prizes that comedians can hope to get their hands on, the coveted Perrier Award is the one that everyone wants.
Judged at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival each August, the award guarantees a London run for the winning show and also presents the victor(s) with a cheque for £7,500.
This autumn, for the first time, the country's number one comedy award comes to Brighton for a special night at The Dome, compered by three-time Perrier nominee Adam Hills.
Supplying some of the hottest comic talents around, this huge event will feature all the names of the 2004 Perrier Awards: Nominees Sarah Kendall and Reginald D. Hunter, Best Newcomer Wil Hodgson and, of course, overall winner Jackson's Way.
Joining an illustrious list of previous recipients of the top prize that includes Al Murray and The League Of Gentlemen, 2004's best show is a surreal and quite superb slice of stand-up that has secured its creator Will Adamsdale virtual overnight, international recognition.
With the Perrier Award shows in Edinburgh selling out every year, you can bet your bottom dollar this South Coast soiree will be packed to the rafters.
Starts 8pm, Tickets £15/£12
