Haywards Heath have taken the chance of a lifetime to pick up tips from a Premiership captain and England flanker.
They might just need them as they attempt to set up a meeting with one of the most notorious coaches in the international game.
Heath, still buzzing from their midweek coaching session from Wasps and England star Joe Worsley, host Tabard tomorrow in the second round of the Powergen Cup.
Victory is likely to mean a third-round trip to a Bedford Blues outfit coached by Rudi Straeuli, the man who found himself in hot water when, as coach of South Africa, he was ultimately responsible for a World Cup training camp which saw his players doused in freezing water, forced to work naked and subjected to routine humiliation.
Now Heath hope Worsley's words of wisdom will help them through at Whitemans Green.
Heath won the visit from an England player after their link to the RBS Six Nations website had more hits than almost any other club in the country.
He joined coach Ian Davies to work with senior players, then was bombarded by questions in a forum with players and parents from the junior section.
Heath have lost three of their four matches so far and Davies hopes the session can provide just the lift they need.
He said: "The guys got a lot out of it. To have an international at training was a bit of an eye-opener."
Players of all positions benefited, including outside half Jon Graham. He said: "One of the messages was that it's all about quality of work, not quantity.
"He told us that from Saturday to Saturday he would only make about six full-on hits in training. He works on all the skills all the time but in short sharp bursts.
"That might mean working on the technique and position for a tackle but only making six hits in a whole week.
"What we tend to do is practise a skill in one session and hammer it to death."
Among the highlights was Worsley's 'look-no-hands' type of tackling drill.
Graham said: "He challenged one of the backs to sidestep him while he had his arms behind his back.
"He had to get his shoulder across and and be in a position to make a tackle. That was fantastic to watch."
Among those who will hope to have learned something is Dave Cook, who returns at No. 8 for Heath tomorrow after a long absence.
Worthing are relishing their cup trip to National Three South powerhouses Redruth.
They stick with the squad which won in the league at London Scottish last week and full back Ben Coulson said: "This is what cup rugby is all about."
Lewes are equally formidable at home and they can go top of London Two South if they beat Sidcup.
They still have a long injury list but skipper Dave Hemsley said: "The way we are playing at the moment we have to be confident, especially at home."
