Sacked Arundel manager Steve Johnson has joined County League division one Ringmer as a coach.
Johnson was axed on Monday but will be on the sidelines for Ringmer today when they entertain Sidlesham.
Ringmer chairman Richard Soan said: Steve has considerable experience and a good knowledge of players. He will be a tremendous asset to the club.
We respect that he wishes to get back into management but hopefully he may change his mind when he gets on board.
Johnson added: I still want to manage but I will give Ringmer my 110 per cent commitment. I am there to help them out in any way I can.
His first job has been to bring defender Elliott Capel to the Caburn from Arundel while Ringmer have also signed striker Cameron Johnson from Worthing United.
