Wayne Flynn's first game in charge of Arundel following Steve Johnson's sacking ended in a 5-1 win over Hailsham in division one.
Flynn said: "The whole atmosphere was different. I told the players that they were not playing for me but for themselves and the club. However, they seemed like they were playing for me."
Andy Boxall grabbed a hat-trick from right midfield for the Mullets while Dave Towers and Mark Pedrick also netted.
