Hastings United pulled off an upset when former Crawley manager Billy Smith's Carshalton were sent spinning to a home defeat.
United manager Steve Lovell made changes to the side which lost to Horsham in midweek with Danny Knowles, Richard Bolton and David Henman back.
They paid off as goals by Jon Wallis, Ryan Peters and a well-taken lob from Carl Rook saw the underdogs send the Conference south side packing.
Lovell said: "The three players I brought in all performed admirably but everybody did very well.
"We played exceptionally well in the second half, scored a couple of good goals and could have had a few more.
"We're in the draw and hopefully we can get a nice tie at home."
