A screamer by Matt Huckett powered County League East Preston to victory over Uxbridge and into the previously unchartered waters of the third qualifying round.
EP manager Vic Short said: "It's frightening. I told my lads before the game that although it is only the first week of October, we are already in a cup final.
"Now we go into the hat and we have another one and we will worry about the next game when we come to it. I am so chuffed for the players because they worked their socks off against a strong side who also had chances."
The visitors from the Isthmian League division one north missed a golden opportunity to take the lead after just two minutes when they missed from two yards out but EP stole the tie two minutes before the break when Huckett's sweetly met half-volley from 18 yards flew into the top corner.
