I recently visited New York. The US think cheap and efficient public transport is the alternative to traffic congestion.
I visited Trenton, New Jersey and the cheap day return rail fare cost 15 dollars 75 cents (about £9.26). The journey was 58 miles and took 1hr 15 mins. The train operator New Jersey Transit also operates bus services.
Public transport in this country is expensive and a shambles.
