We have heard a lot about increased parking charges in Hove and other areas but there has been little mention of similar increases for Madeira Drive in Brighton and Hove seafront.
My daughter and her friend find themselves driving to work on Saturdays for 8.30am because the only convenient bus from Woodingdean runs on Mondays to Fridays only.
The daily charge (up to nine hours) has just increased from £2.50 (October to March) to an exorbitant £9 all year round. Other charges are £1 per hour up to six hours.
What is the justification for this - was it "too cheap" before?
