The latest novels are being brought direct to the desks of one of East Sussex's largest employers in a pilot initiative.
People working for insurance company Hastings Direct in Collington Avenue, Bexhill, can borrow books without leaving their desks.
A library set up by East Sussex County Council will visit the company for two hours once a week for an initial three-month period.
If successful, the council will consider sending the library out to other companies where employees find it hard to access books during working hours.
Councillor Meg Stroude, lead Cabinet member for libraries, said: "This is about taking our library services into the heart of the community."
A Hastings Direct spokesman said: "We anticipate the reading room could become a lot busier with the introduction of this service which has been very well received.
"Staff have access to a wide range of recreational facilities, including a putting green, swimming pool and internet cafe.
"We also have a quiet room which staff often use as a reading room during their breaks.
"Now they can borrow a book to read without leaving the building."
