I have the misfortune of living in Fiveways, where double Parking is an issue (The Argus, October 8).

Katrina Birch gives us the impression that people who double park in her road are considerate because they either leave their hazard lights on or little notes with their name and address on their vehicles.

Well, I would like to live in her road because where I live some people feel that if the parking space directly outside their house happens to be occupied then they will double park there all day and all night if necessary.

We all struggle to find a parking space in Fiveways. I work in catering and often come home in the early hours and have to park two or three streets away. I have never been so inconsiderate as to double park.

If a fire engine or ambulance cannot pass a double-parked car, does Ms Birch think the crews have time to jump out of their vehicle and start reading notes, directing them to the correct house?

How would she feel if she was with an expectant mother waiting for that ambulance?

I found Ms Birch's "Parking Violation Notice" quite amusing. Maybe it will encourage her and her fellow residents to park considerately.
