I have always been puzzled as to the purpose of "Baby on Board" signs on car windows.

Some declare they are for road safety reasons in case of an accident but, if so, surely this would make it hazardous to display the sign whether the baby is in the car or not.

I conclude the real purpose is a declaration of pride in one's virility.

Today I saw a sign, "Naughty Person on Board".

Are some of today's parents really so proud to have a badly-behaved and out-of-control child that they wish to broadcast their inadequacies to following motorists?
