Human rights activists will march single file in a silent protest against the incarceration of student Omar Deghayes.
Protesters will walk from Brighton's Jubilee Library to the peace statue on Hove seafront on Saturday at noon.
Organised by the Save Omar campaign, the event is designed to draw attention to the plight of Mr Deghayes, a 35-year-old father from Saltdean, who has been held without charge in Guantanamo Bay's Camp Delta for nearly three years.
Mr Deghayes's lawyer has claimed his client was tortured by American soldiers, leaving him blind in one eye.
Originally from Libya, Mr Deghayes was granted refugee status in 1987 after moving to the UK as a child following his father's death at the hands of Colonel Gaddafi's regime.
Save Omar activist Jackie Chase said: "This march will put further pressure on the British government to seek justice for Omar. It is only thanks to such pressure in the past that it finally agreed to present Omar's family's concerns about his treatment to US officials."
