A student who was hospitalised after he accidentally drank poisonous dishwasher liquid is still in intensive care.
The 35-year-old Lewes man, who has learning disabilities, has been in hospital since December and on a life support machine since late January when he picked up several infections.
Doctors at the Princess Royal Hospital, in Haywards Heath, plan to transfer him to Guy's Hospital in London. However, there are no isolation ward beds currently available there for patients carrying infections.
The man was one of six students from St Nicholas day centre in Lewes who were injured when they accidentally drank dishwasher liquid mixed with orange juice on a day trip
