The organisation which operates the county's speed cameras today reassured drivers that one which led to hundreds of tickets being issued in error is working perfectly.
The Argus reported last week that 200 motorists were issued with duplicate tickets saying they were speeding in both Eastern Road, Brighton, and Augusta Place, Worthing, at the same time.
More drivers have claimed they are victims of inaccurate speed cameras and have questioned the reliability of the Eastern Road camera.
Checkout assistant Sally Field, 60, clocked 37mph but claims it is impossible she could have been driving that fast.
Emma Rogers, of the Sussex Safety Camera Partnership, said: "Once again I would like to reassure people the camera in Eastern Road is running effectively.
"It's there for a reason, which is to slow down drivers.
"With this continued publicity, I am almost certain no one will be caught speeding in Eastern Road now.
"There was a minor one-off clerical error which was resolved immediately. What this woman is saying is a separate issue.
"We are more than happy to take telephone calls from members of the public if they dispute their speeding offences."
Mrs Field, of Somerset Street, Brighton, claims she had just moved away from a set of traffic lights in her people carrier and could not have built up enough speed to be over the 30mph limit. She said: "When I got the ticket I was absolutely astounded. I have spoken to a taxi driver who said quite a few people have had the same problem with this camera.
"I have been driving for 30 years and this would be the first time I have ever got three points on my licence.
"I am not very happy about it and I am certainly not going to pay the fine and accept this, even if it means going to court."
The Sussex Safety Camera Partnership said: "This is a case of someone saying they were not speeding despite the fact they were caught by a camera.
"The person in question will be able to refute the case at the magistrates court where it will be up to the magistrates to look at our camera evidence and decide for themselves."
