As a weekender in Brighton, I am always delighted to read your paper. It is a most interesting, well written and diverse local paper - possibly the best in the UK.

It also has the most articulate writer in Jean Calder.

How refreshing to read a woman who understands the power and corruption of patriarchy and describes it so clearly.

What a shame, therefore, that you include letters objecting to her views week after week.
