Wheelie bin protesters are holding a meeting to plan the next stage of their campaign.
Residents in Preston Park in Brighton are among those invited to talks at Stanford Avenue Methodist Church in Stanford Avenue on Thursday at 7.30pm following the delivery of thousands of green bins to homes in the area.
Visitors to the meeting, organised by the Friends Of Blakers Park, will discuss the impact of the programme by Brighton and Hove City Council's in-house refuse service Cityclean.
Protesters argue the bins are ruining the appearance of the Regency conservation area and claim people living in Kemp Town and Withdean have also approached them with concerns about the scheme.
There are also growing calls for direct action such as dumping the wheelie bins and a series of stunts coordinated across Preston Park.
In a statement, campaigners said: "The arguments against the bins are many, ranging from the plain appearance of the streets through concerns about the legal status of them to vandalism."
Brighton and Hove City council delivered an estimated 4,800 bins to doorsteps over Easter but withheld about 200 from Preston Park claiming parts of the area were not suitable.
Those for the scheme say a house-to-house survey to check whether homes should receive the new bins was carried out and the bins will improve recycling levels.
